The 10th Day of Christmas
Merry 10th Day of Christmas, friend!
… And the last day before school is back in session in Krum ISD.
Today, teachers and administrators in our district are back at work, preparing classrooms, libraries, cafeterias, playgrounds, gyms, and numerous other things so that when students arrive tomorrow, everything can be as ready as it can be.
Tomorrow is also a HUGE day for Community UMC because the preschool for KISD teacher's kids will be opening in our education space at the church. The good people at Krum ISD have been preparing for this move for months! The teachers and staff of the preschool have also been working during the entire break to get things together for the young ones. I ask that you pray for these precious kids and the ten amazing staff and teachers as they launch into a new adventure in their new space.
Hosting this preschool is such a gift that we can offer to Krum. I'm so thankful for those, including so many of you who are reading this, who've made it happen.

when they grow old, they won’t depart from it.”
As a community, we're committed to raising children well. In Christ, they're all our children, after all! And, there will be new students in our local schools tomorrow, their families having made a journey in the days leading up to tomorrow, moving into new homes, taking on new jobs. My kids tell me that they meet new students nearly every week at school!
May we lift up this new season in our city and our schools … even if you're still on your break. May the teachers lean into their call to teach and may our children grow in curiosity, kindness, and mercy. After all, it's still Christmas!
