About Community UMC of Krum

We are Community United Methodist Church of Krum, Texas — making disciples of Jesus Christ in the community and for the community.

“The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and planted in his field. It’s the smallest of all seeds. But when it’s grown, it’s the largest of all vegetable plants. It becomes a tree so that the birds in the sky come and nest in its branches.” — Matthew 13:31–32

Great things start small. With the right conditions and a little work, they grow. Jesus knew it firsthand — a mustard seed, given the right soil, can grow into a tree twenty feet high and just as wide. From the smallest seed to a home for the birds of the sky.

What if, together, we could build a church like that? A group of diverse folks walking with Christ, growing into something high and wide enough to be a sanctuary for anyone.

Meet Pastor Jarrod

Pastor Jarrod Johnston has been pastoring in the United Methodist Church for thirteen years, in all kinds of contexts — downtown communities, a coffee-shop church plant, a suburban new faith community, and most recently in Paris, Texas. He loves starting new communities of belonging and study, where people discover they are deeply loved by God, no matter where they’ve come from.

He’s a husband to Leanne and dad to three active kids you’ll see running around Krum. And he really wants to meet you.
