Growing Season is upon us, with a new emphasis on worship, groups, and outreach. There’s a place for you!

As Community UMC enters into a new season in Krum, TX of making disciples of Jesus Christ in the community and for the community, it’s time to shape our plans for the next several months in order to live into our vision of guiding people into life transforming relationships with God and one another. Our goals are to multiply Jesus followers within Community UMC as we grow towards a launch of weekly worship after Labor Day 2024, reaching for September 8.

  • Worship

Beginning in the month of April, we will worship on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the Month, with communion on the first Sunday.

  • Community Groups

On April 21, we’ll have our first group launch event, matching people into groups that can meet on any date and in any place they desire (church, restaurant, home, etc.), committing to meet at least twice per month. The plan is to launch at least three groups at the beginning that will focus each month on a scripture passage and a few discussion questions that tie back into the Five Missional Priorities, living into our core values of curiosity, sanctuary, and intergenerationality. These groups are intended to be open to new people and invitational in nature.

  • Outreach.

Since beginning our ministry as Community UMC, we’ve welcomed a new preschool on campus through Krum ISD, we’ve participated in the Downtown Christmas Parade, we’ve sponsored Christmas Angels at Dodd Elementary, and have supported the Krum Community Food Pantry. During the Growing Season, we’ll be seeking new opportunities to make new friends in our community.
