Lent Mission Focus: The Krum Community Food Pantry

We're excited to announce that Our First Ever Lent Mission Focus will be supporting the Krum Community Food Pantry, located at New Life First Baptist Church in Krum.

KCFP is a local food pantry supported by the whole community that provides boxes of nonperishable food items, toiletries, children’s clothing, and adult coats to our neighbors in need.

During our various events during the Season of Lent (from Ash Wednesday until Easter), we’re asking for Community folks to bring some of the essentials that KCFP is always in need of (this list will be given out at Ash Wednesday Worship):

*Food - Spaghetti noodles & sauce, canned tuna or chicken, meal helpers, spam or vienna sausages, dried beans & rice, canned veggies & fruits, mac & cheese, peanut butter & jelly, cereal, canned chili, soups, & stews, ramen, spices, flour, sugar, lard, cooking oil, boxed potatoes, baking mixes, pancake mixes …

*Toiletries - 4-6 roll packs of toilet paper, bar soap, toothpaste & toothbrushes, shampoo & conditioner, razors, shaving cream, deodorant, diapers & wipes, feminine hygiene products …

* Cleaning supplies: laundry detergent, antibacterial wipes, spray cleaner, sponges, paper towels, dish soap

We’ll have baskets at the altar every week to gather the goods. Bring them to our Wednesday Night Bible Studies (Wednesdays at 6pm during Lent), or to our various events in March!

This season calls for us to give of ourselves for the good of our community. Join us in serving our neighbors!
